95-01 are throttle cable driven, 02+ are drive by wire. if u did the swap from the 01/00 engine you should know this

and 2k2 re electronic and no cable at all. i know the difference. plus you will have to reroute all the hoses cause 2k have a thermostat for the engine and 4th gen don't have that thermostat. if you want to have something rare and you could prove it, go for it. i did and i know that i have it but hard thing is to make people believe it.

well I put a 3.0 2k engine into it. it feels more powerful than a stcok same year max. my friend has one and were both auto. I took him off the line and he was way behind me and then we tried it the other way and i could not pass him. Maybe it is because I also have a 2k ypipe and bpipe? the reason i did it because my brother did a 3.5 swap on his car and i took the 3.0 engine and swapped it into mine because we had too much free time and a spare brand new engine. my max has 99,xxx on it and the engine and tranny have 15,xxx

is that possible to put 3.5 into a 99, how does it feel. and what kind parts i need, i max is a 99 auto, i want a 3.5 maneul there, is that hard?
the reseon is i like the NA engine very much, don't like tubor or superchager engine that much.

4th gen do have thermostat, it's on the engine block inside the fat hose where coolant enters going out of radiator.

I think what he was saying is that his brother has a 2k and swapped the 3.0 with a 3.5 and they put the 3.0 from the 2K and dropped it into the 4th gen.

vsamoylov I have a question for you.
Mine
Your's
And a 2000
Mine and yours looks pretty similar, and you claim that you have a 2000 engine in your car. Then why do you not have the 5th gens intake manifold?

The only difference's are the cam size and the manifold is alittle higher on the 5th gen cause its the variable intake controlled by the computer...
I dont know why it wouldnt work, but you would have to use a 4th generation intake manifold...the 5th manifold wouldnt let the hood close

We've been over this with vsamoylov before. He did swap a 5th gen engine into his car. There's a thread with pics and proof, search for it. He had to swap many of the 4th gen components over to the new engine for it to work.
But, he did it.
EDIT: here it is
