Clutch Change. . .?
Hello All,
I am new to the Maxima forum and new to my Maxima as well.
Shes 5 days old, just got her at the Nissan Dealership.
1996 Maxima SE
Black, 5 Speed.
I have a question, when do you change the clutch on a car or in this case in a Maxima? I by the stroke of luck bought this car a day after some guy traded it in, it has 96K miles on it, I want to say that at 90K is when you get the clutch changed.
I ask because I hear kind of a grainny noise when I'm reving high from first to second, and it dies down from third and so on. If 90K is when you should get it changed, then is that why I'm hearing what I'm hearing? or may it be another problem, I know I dont hear that sound when I'm in neutral or have the clutch pressed in all the way.
Thanks for the advice.
M.
