my gxe doesnt like my fog lights

Search is down so I don't know if anyone else has posted about this. My GXE didnt come with the harnesses for the oem fog lights. Just to make sure I took it to the dealer to look at and they wanted to swap out the old headlight harnesses to the harnesses for the fog lights. Not happening. I don't want to just hook them up to my headlights and stick in a bigger fuse. I want to be able to run my fog lights independantly, but i don't know where to take power from. I'd also like to be able to use the oem switch if its possible, but if it can't be done then I don't mind. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

The link makes sense. But I still don't know where to the power to the actual fog lamps is coming from. I'm a noob when it comes to things like this. Would I have to run the power lines from the fog lamps to a fuse? If someone could explain how the fog lamps are wired and where the power is coming from it'd be great.

Yeah. How are the fog lights wired in the stock setup. If i were to follow the directions in the link will they provide power to the fog lights?

i made another thread about this a few months back...

there is a harness in the engine bay, atleast there is in my 95, in front of the battery near the corner light just taped up that has an orange and black wire going to it. this wire will work with the fog light switch on the headlight stock in the car. tap into both of those wires, and wire that up to your fogs. what i did was go to the junkyard and got the stock wiring harnesses/clip that would plug into fogs just to make the wiring easy so i didn't have to ruin my fogs.

you can also later rewire from the relays in the relay box and tap into the parking lamps so you can use your fogs when just the parking lamps and corner lights are on.

i hope that makes sense, if not, feel free to ask me questions. i'm sick and a lil out of it now so i might not be so clear but that sums up the gist of it.
