Wow, after reading all 3 pages, im amazed. Still no proof of JUST headers on the dyno, but of course thats just to hide the lack of power they make. By not providing the majority of maximas owners this request is gonna severely limit your sales. Most owners already have aftermarket Y-pipe, you need to realize this! We dont want to pay extra money for another y-pipe...which seems to me is making the bulk of your "claimed" horsepower. Good luck selling your unproven product. Also, dont go telling me to look at the damn dyno again, because if you dont get it by now that the dyno is worthless, then you will never get it...

You guys must know that we did think about this ahead of time and mentioned to MrEous that he should dyno with just the headers. Problem was that he was contractually bounded by these guys to install the headers/y pipe and have it dyno'ed in 10 days or he was to pay more for the product. Of course, we spent all our time fixing their screw up on the y pipe (but it was a prototype) and he took forever to respond to MrEous's emails (or PM's, I don't know which one) so we couldn't extend the obtain to offer this info.

There is no way a y-pipe will gain 18-20 whp .Maybe 10-15 whp. It looks like the headers are gaining between 5-8 whp ,worth it to me if the fitment problems can be addressed.

In my opinion these headers don't worth the money for the gains they provide, don't forget to add the cost of installation. I think that most of the maxima owners who had interest in these headers are real enthusiasts, people who already installed some performance y-pipe of their choice.

He ows it more for the .Org members more than for Stone Racing or myself. I have been given boat load of shyt because of his fuked up deal with me!!

I think headers will give good gains with a VI and extended rev-limiter. VI maximas are making 30hp more at redline(w/ 6.5K rev cut) then a stock manifold maxim.....add on 700 more rpms and the gains should get even better.
But that just bnrings us back to the whole point that we don't really know with out a dyno....someone will have to just take the chance and buy headers and do the dyno comparisons.

Call the dyno place he went to. Since he's in your area I'm sure you have the name/number of the dyno shop. Call them and get the original runviewer files...Runviewer files are not 'copyrighted' or private information and can be shared legally without the original owner's ok.
To the rest of the .org'ers...Nashua really was screwed over by the first prototyper. Luckily enough I was contacted and went through with the whole deal and made sure all the info Nashua wanted was sent to him. Give him a break, he's already been through some shyt trying to bring this new product to the Maxima community.
If anyone should be getting the bulk of the naysayer's comments it should be the 1st Prototyper of the headers.

With mine, the egr tube coming off the header (which will be fixed for final production) it was too long. Almost exactly 3" too long. So we took my stock egr tube to Home Depot and had them cut off 3"...after some rigging we got it to fit without leaks and sealed it. I haven't had a single cel at all from the headers or the y-pipe.
As far as the dyno shop...good ones will keep the files stored in their computer. You just need to have the exact dates the car was in there. It wouldn't hurt to call them in the least.

The shop where MrEous got his very first dyno back in the day is a great shop and has held some of our information for some of my acura buddies so i'm fairly confident they'll hold onto ours. It's worth a shot anyways.

i have purchased these and would be willing to do the dyno, as it stands now im looking to sell the headers, and just use the y. if it would be of benefit to the group, if a portion was covered i would be willing to do the three individiual dynos.

Why? MrEous had the dyno but never released it cause the Noshua dude who sold the header to him didn't want the dyno to be seen. Why? No gains would be my guess. As for a dyno of the y-pipe, why bother? Why waste the $40+ on a dyno of a y-pipe?

My dyno is the only one available to this date. But that dyno is ONLY for stock header/ypipe before and SR header/ypipe after.
The gains are MINIMAL if any over 'just' replacing the stock ypipe with any aftermarket ypipe.
If you have money to burn and like a little more shiny under the hood then get them...you will ONLY see about a 2whp gain over stock headers.

lol this is such a funny thread I am really curious as to how much bigger it is gonna get. It is so funny maxes really dont have a lot of mods besides supercharger, turbo and y so the headers would have been nice if they worked but i guess it just aint gonna happen just a bling item for getting into a magizine and what no**** a shame but oh well. I guess it goes back to make big power you need big money.

sr headers suck imo and don't do shat. they arn't even equal legth.
cattman are the only headers and the price for them + install your almost 1/2 way to a custom turbo kit.
just get a damn budget y pipe for a buck 50 and be happy.
ceaser is/was slower after he 1st put on the cattmans.

don say nuthing till you had experience with them. I just put them on, headers and the y pipe and a high flow cat. Anyone want pics I can give you them! just aim me at AlpineGT66 which is my screenname. I didn't even start the car yet but they look damn good on it! I did have some fiting issues but I got it on anyway! A little customizing that me a 17 year old kid did and you guys are whining about! Took me like 2 weeks, but hell it was worth it just based on looks. The worst thing was that I did have to take the intake manifold off which im going to put back on this week after i get the stupid gasket for it! Can wait to post sound clips of it!

The stone mountain racing headers are sold on ssauto chrome.com? They look exactly the same. I guess the headers being the same shape as stock is good for fitting purposes. I got obx headers and a down pipe and had to cut chunks out of front motor mount for them to fit. the rear header is still on though, i cant seem to get that bolt going through the motor mount off. i had a little to much fun with the torch too
