bodykit install help
Does anyone know if the skyline body kit comes with instructions on how to take off the front and rear bumpers?
If not, is there a writeup? I know a body shop should do it, but im a DIY and short on money as well. I just want to see if I can do it myself so that i can save more cash, get the car painted, and get my rims.

If its comin from CM no. I attempted to put the rear on myself and ended up driving it to the shop w/ out a rear bumper on. Im a DIY'er too but the urethane rear needs to be put on right. There is no ports for the tag lights either. If I would have went ahead and mounted it myself it would have loked like crap. I also regret gettin it painted at 1 shop and having another shop put it on. I will know next time though.......

Well i know how to take off the front bumper not the rear though. This will be my third attempt on putting on the skyline bumper. I have new parts this time so hopefully all goes well this saturday and i will post some pics. Let me know about the front bumper its fairly simple it takes 15-20 minutes to do.

the rear bumper isnt all that hard to take off... there is a plastic lineing with 4-6 screws. take the gray plastic piece off and you will see more bolts under it.. you can take them off but be careful, they like to break. there are bolts behind the lineing of your trunk, so peal that back and go down from lights where the bumper meets you shuold feel maybe 4 bolts.. then after that its should pretty much fall out... i little wiggle here and there... you prolly have to take off you licence plate to i forget about that, it has been awhile... thats all that i know good luck

Rear: There are the obvious clips along the top when you open your trunk. Then you need to pull back the inner liner of the trunk. On the inside there are 3 nuts on each side, the bottom ones are pretty low, youmight need a flashlight to see them. On the bottom of the bumper there is 1 bolt on each side of the exterior. You need to remove your outer tail lights as well
