Gas Prices Going Higher.......

Well I guess its going to be time we all going to pay $2.30,$2.50,$2,80,$2.90,$3.00. How fast Are you going to drive your car?
I wish there was something we can do about the high gas prices. soon or later 91-93 Octane gas will be close to $3.00 we are not far from it.

Does it really matter to most people, though in NYC? Most people in NYC (five boroughs), don't use their cars to commute and public transit is 24/7 and can get you almost anywhere you're going.

Other states, I can see a large effect.

People will keep driving, regardless of whether gas is $2.50 or $3.50.

If you're struggling to put gas in the car every weeks then yes, it could have an effect on you.

For the daily car commuters, definitely an effect there.

SUVs might drop a little in price if the gas hikes keep going up and flatline for 10 months.

I like driving my car fast and view gas as an enterainment expense, so if costs $60 to keep me entertained for a week, so be it

well in long island you can't get around as easy as if you are in the city. There are other type of transportation but not like the city. I know it might not affect you at all, but still it is a lot's of money. Gas should not go higher then 2.00 dollar. well I see some people have no problem spending 60-80 dollar a week for gas. It could be hard for some people.

Actually the prices are supposed to fall 20-30 cents for the spring/summer and then go sky high.

I hear you man. I definitely agree and do sympathize with you and the people that need to commute everyday. They will definitely feel it.

Our cars aren't that BAD on gas mileage, though, compared to the majority of SUVs. They also carry larger tanks so a fill up for them could touch the high 70s - 80s+.

The price has never bothered me at all (I don't even look when I fill up) so my driving habits will stay the same.

How much is gas these days?

Consider the civic the last resort.
Anyway I hope they do something about it, or the car industry make a different source of fuel for power. I guess the Iraq war didn't help that much. I was kind of hoping the prices where cheaper.

for 93 octane, i pay 1.90 per gallon, and my car gets about 250 mpg or so. So if gas prices go up any higher, ill just mooch rides off people and let my baby sit in the garage unless its sunny out, which in wisconsin, isnt very often until late march-early april.

Hey you guys seen back to future? Soon we will get those things that make fuel from garbage, and all those blood thirsty a$$holes will have big ****** up their a$$es. I wish, fu{ken bastards, I don't think it will be reasonable for me to drive max anymore if it's going to over $3.00 for premium.

My max is sitting with 370 miles and the fuel light is not on yet. Seems like I'm one of the lucky ones with good mileage.

$2.07 for 93 at Sunoco (downtown Brooklyn).

$1.99 - $2.03 in Queens (Exxon) -- not on the same day though. The $2.07 was from this past Friday night.

I can get up to and est390-400 miles/tank depending on how I drive. I have not seen my fuel light on yet as I get nervous when it gets to a quarter tank. I have 120k on my car. Still beat many off the line. Hemi what?!
As far as prices go I would somewhat blame the SUV drivers and also blame the people that restrict oil drilling in the USA. In this day in age drilling can be done w/out contaminating the environment. We should not rely as heavily as we do on other countries for oil.
Thats my $.02
