My impression on SeaFoam

I recently used about 2-3 cans of the carb & choke cleaner within the time frame of a couple months, cleaned my whole intake out super clean. Well i went to NAPA and got a spray can of Seafoam today and got to cleaning my whole intake again. I can feel better response and power after the use. Whatever my previous cleaning missed, seafoam cleaned it up. It is true what the others say about it, it works. I will use nothing else but seafoam deep creep.

Why does it throw a CEL?
Could it actually be harming more than we are thinking?

Odd, I took part in the Seafoaming of 3 Maxima's and none of the CEL's came on.

On a side note...who liked smoking out their neighborhoods when it was burning off?

not trying to be off subject, but I just bought a can of regular carb cleaner.
On motorvate.ca Frank says to spray it into the throttle with the butterfly plate open. It worries me a little. Isn't that just going to push the dirt and sh*t just deeper in there, into the engine? Or is that part of the process? Are you supposed to only get the stuff you can reach with a rag and not worry about the rest?

People, stop using the carb cleaners, get EFI cleaners.

CEL comes because you unhooked a vaccum line.
