Installed GREddy SP2 Cat-Back.

Well, after two days of trial and tribulation, I have finally gotten my exhaust on. It took me 2 days b/c I had to let the wd40 / pb break to set in so I could get the bolts off. All in all it was a.......fun.......install. Now to the fun part. After starting the car and letting it sit for a few, I revved and it sounded like a dream. A clear, crisp growl from top to bottom with no rice at all. I took it to the conv. store for gas and a Honda pulled up and complimented the exhaust. It sounds smooth and clear. While WOT, the sound is great. No drone during acceleration at all. All in all, I think this is a great exhaust package. Now for a y-pipe :P

Pic!

Sp2

Looks great, glad you like it. Now GReddy just needs to get off their butts and help us 97-99 guys with the SP2...

Going to have to wait on the soundclips. A friend of mine has a digital camcorder so i'll get with him and we'll tape me at WOT.

Thanks Happy and Battle. Battle, what type of y-pipe do you have / should I get ? Not sure if I should go WS Y-Pipe or another one.

Sounds nice and pretty because you have no Y-pipe. Wait till that rasp maker...err, Y-pipe goes on...

Judging from how far the exhaust sticks out i dont see why it cant fit a 97+

As for the Y pipe issue im running a Stillen one and every time i show up around the local maxima guys they always compliment me on how quiet the exhaust is. One guy even took a ride in my car and was like "wait till you get a y pipe its going to get way louder," he couldnt believe i was running a y pipe from how quiet it was. Dont get me wrong when you get on it you can definetly hear the nice exhaust tone but over all it rivals the apex ws on minimal droaning noise.

yes, but it requires some custom work at ur local exhaust shop. ie. rear O2 hole, probably chop off a section off the b-pipe to make it fit nicely. etc. maybe $50+, but after that the sound and performance is priceless on SP2.

I heard the SP2 exhaust on a highly tuned G35 this weekend and what a beatiful sound it was.
I do enjoy the sound of my Warpspeed y and Apexi ws but lord...

I still think it's a V8 sometimes when I start it.

From what I understand, the SP2 for 97-99 should be available at SWA in about 4 weeks, so it's probably worth waiting a little longer.
