Oil leak from oil pump housing

While changing my control arm bushings I noticed the passengers side was soaked with oil. After a closer inspection my axle was also covered in engine oil. At first I thought it was the oil pressure switch which I replaced about 6 months ago but it wasnt. While looking up at the engine from the passengers side where the front wheel goes, theres a gasket leaking from above the oil pan. When I looked at the Haynes manual it said its called the Oil pump housing, its part of the bottom of the block but above the oil pan.

Has anyone had this leak? and if so how big of a job was it? I'm getting under the car tomorrow to take a look and it looks like a huge job. The crossmember and the a/c pump is in the way and I might even have to take out the timing chain cover. Any help?
