I've opted to keep the stock airbox in my car. I read in Import Tuner that the K&N makes about 4hp. I've also read on the forums that some of the Chevy guys said the Fram filters make comparable gains. Any one have Fram experience on the Max? And does anyone know if the Chevy guys were talking about the Fram racing filters?

in terms of any reasonable power gain neither are doing anything, a drop in K&N might give you 4 HP which i doubt but its not even power you will notice...... i woudl say go with a pop charger or CAI..but you want to keep that stock airbox..

I seriously doubt you will feel any difference between the two, so the only question is do you want to throw away filters or wash them?
