BTW i have 166,000 miles on here and i ran a 14.9 w/o the flywheel.
is it just casue i cann't drive?????? or are those number low???

 

Dyno numbers are good, you just suck. j/k Getting rid of the test pipe might get you better times.

Yes, same thing. Takes away TQ and makes your exhaust raspy as fudge.

 

jeffs car actually sounds really good, i was there when he dynoed today..... pretty nice max if you ask me and really good power considering the mileage kinda makes me wish i got a high mileage 1996. i hate my damn 99

Easy, a little back pressure is alway's good. It helps build torque. Dyno test's(mostly on V8's) have consistently shown that a full exhaust with a little back pressure will produce more power than an open exhaust.

just the fact that all the exhaust is being forced through a 6 foot pipe and a muffler will make some backpressure.

for example: a 70s straight pipe v8 trans am will be faster if you add a cat? NO



id say to get a test pipe if your cat is going bad, test pipe is about $20, a oem cat is what, almost $200?

 

Add a balance pipe to your T/A= More power, it will equalize the flow between banks. And you are right, adding a cat won't do anything for it. What I wasn trying to get at was that a test pipe on a max with a full system maybe a little to free flowing. Putting a Cat back on may help restore some low-end torque.
