Shaved Emblems, but cant get residue off

I shaved my emblems today on the back of my maxima, and I am having trouble getting the glue off my paint, I have tried bug and tar remover, but it is really thick.

Thanks for any help

I took my emblems off using a heat gun which softened up the glue and you can just ball it up. Try heating it up with a hairdryer and you should be able to roll it off. Good luck..

after you get it off, use claybar to get rid of the outline of whatever you "shaved" off

The glue left behind the emblem is MUCH easier to get off than the glue from behind the lettering. Just for future reference, goo gone doesn't work. It does sort of but it takes hours. You put some on and rub, wipe it off and repeat 200 times. To get the outlines off just buff the crap out of it.

Once you get the actual glue off, use a polish/scratch remover on the whole trunk lid. It'll get rid of any discoloration from fading...which is only noticeable under bright light, when it's dark out.
