JWT ECU Worth it?

I have a JWT Pop charger, budget y, no cat and custom catback. I was wondering if the jwt ecu would give me a big gain? Is it worth the amount of money that its listed for?

it depends on how important having a faster car is to you. an ecu upgrade can be pretty hard on the wallet. if you can catch a technosquare group deal your looking at 380 dollars !

my maxima just blast off at around 3500 rpms and I noticed about a .2 off my 1/4 mile times with the upgraded ecu.

Im assuming your 5spd to launch at 3500 or do you have a tq conv?

ceaser is 5 speed. I would jump on technosquare unless u plan to get MEVI. With the US manifold i dont think there are gains past the stock rev limiter and thats the only difference i believe there is between JWT and technosquare...the ability to rev past the normal limiter of 6800 (really 6500)

I have read the TC ECU makes a little more power than the JWT.

Ya but don't you have to mail them your stock ecu?

i launch a 2500 rpms. you will have to unless you buy another one to send in. I know TS will have it back to you in about a week counting the time it takes for you to ship it over. jwt will take much longer to get the ecu back.

You have to mail in your ecu whether you go with JWT or TS. However with TS I sent mine in and it was Fedex'd back the same day. That's service!

It gives about the same gains as a y-pipe, but over a slightly larger rpm band. I notice the added power at around 3000rpm onwards. One thing to note is if you go this route you can't go nitrous or you'll very likely blow your engine.

I love my TS ECU got it on thurday, you feel the power on every gear and all across the rpms band. My best mod so far.

You will definently be happy with the ts ecu I had mine for about a month and I'm very happy with it. If you could afford $390 then go for it!! I paid a little more because I wanted next day shipping but that's just me!! Best mod..

You will be happier with an upgraded ecu. Choosing the right one will probably tear you apart. JWT has the rev-limiter but TS has a cheaper price. Do some research and choose which one would be best for you.

Well seeing how i dont have a mevi it would probably be smarter for me to go with the ts, cuz if i ever decide to upgrade to a mevi in the future i could always sell it.

Well from what I hear, TS will have the rev-limiter upgrade for like 200 for current TS users when they come out with it in hte next few weeks/months.
