how to move engine?

I have my old engine sitting at my mechanics....he want me to either allow him to get rid of it or take it off his hands....my parents are going to let me store it in there garage but I dont know how to move it! They have a grand cherokee.....would it fit in the back of that? It looks small enough to....but what about the weight? How heavy would it be? Do I need somekind of engine crane type thing? Could 3 people pick it up and put it into the jeep, and again take it out and put it on the garage floor without damaging it? I want to keep it so I can take it apart and learn more about mechanics and my engine (I would like to rebuild it eventually!).....any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Iff you have enough people, I dont see why you cant pick it up. As far as fitting into the cheroke, I couldnt tell ya. When you do eventually get it home, just make sure you put it on an engine stand. It will make it alot easier to move, and work on.
