Dimmers

So i saw on here the other day how to turn off the dimmer on my clock, so i cut the wire, but that just resulted in my climate control light and cd player light to dim when the headlights were turned on. does anyone know why this happend? or what wire to cut for those..... i hate the dimmer

yeah, so people keep talking about the dimmer switch... but im pretty sure that doesn't do anything... i don't want the lights on my dash to dim when i turn on my head lights. the dimmer switch just regulates how bright the lights are

which wire did you cut? your supposed to cut the red with blue tracer, and your clock will always be bright. make sure ur dimmer switch is turned all the way up, and you wont have to worry about the cd/climate being dim.
