I need some advice regarding the code 0102. I know it is the MAF sensor acting up. Nissan in Canada wants $600 for a new sensor. Is there anything I can do to extend the life of the sensor. Has anyone tried cleaning there MAF??? nay help would be appreciated

i dont know how to fix it, but i have an extra one if you need ill sell it to you... if you dont want to wait though, go to the local junk yard and pick one up. i thought mine had gone bad, so i switched it out, but it didnt end up being the problem (bad coil packs) so i switched back.

 

First find the ground wire on the harness. I forgot what color it was. You need to splice into it as close as you can get and then run a wire to another ground point. Reset the ECU and see if it works. Also, you clean the MAF sensor element, you need to put rubbing alcahol on it, sometimes hte element gets dirty.
