Race Story (vs. SRT-4)
I have a 800 dollar mint looking G20, with a SR20DET in it, car weights 2700lbs, has killer suspension from the factory, materials used inside are light years ahead the Neon SRT4 and mine is a 93. I have about hmmm 3000 invested in the whole car, and it runs consistant 13.7@101MPH on stock 6.5psi of boost- which made 227WHP. Now I have alot more done to it- around 1500 invested now on top of 3K bux... I will walk any street driven Neon out there. I got into a little street battle with a Neon- on temp tags.... I got the launch and pulled an EZ 2-3 cars on him to 100MPH. This was driving my 01 5spd with all the bolt ons- cams are waiting for install. I think Neons look and sound like shiat.
i can understand if you guys dont like the srt-4 for wat it is but it isnt a neon at all. it may share some body panels with a regular neon but the engine is from a pt crusier turbo and the engine has ben worked on to handle large amounts of boost. also the drivetrain is upgraded as well. this car has so much support behind it that it just not fair. it's not the fastest car stock but it would take any car in it's price range. also a maxima isnt it's in this cars class. maximas sell to different buyers and they want differnt things which also increase the price of maximas, but the srt-4 owners want a cheap, fast car that can be easily upgraded and the got just that. they have 500whp srt-4 running around with just mopar upgrades.
it does have one weakness though and that was corrected in the 2004 yr. the older ones had real traction issues if you tried to launch them.
also the srt-4 isnt the second fastest dodge, the srt10's ( viper then ram) and i hear the srt-6 which would be the crossfire with a supercharger is also gonna get a full mopar treatment like the srt-4. i wish we had mopar making **** for our cars...

It will smoke a RSX Type S, smoke a WRX impreza and surely smoke a whole lot of these Maximas w/bolt ons. Out of the box its a great bargain.
