I dont understand why everyone always screams rice when someone makes a mod that everyone doesnt prefer. Im not in love with my carbon fibers, but I do think they look a whole lot better than stock. And to flavor247, I wasnt aware that they had Gunmetal, if I were I might have got some. Where are they available from?
Just keep it stock or paint the amber part red.

You can convert from the 95/96 to 97-99 rear-end. Read these two threads posted in the mod faq:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=42806
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=73032

Personally, it's just too much hassle, money, and time just to get gen2 altezzas to fit on the 95/96's. Unless you get rear ended and your insurance pays for your body work, then you can opt for the 97+ rear end parts and all you need to do is get the gen2's. You're set!

You'd be surprised at the kinds of info you can get just by reading the faq's, you don't even need search if you are a non-contributing member like me. Most common questions and ideas are posted in faq....the moderators love us, non-contributing ORG'ers, as well.

Stocks are ugly, and painting the amber part red doesnt make it look better, it is still just as ugly.

TPDUKE, Ive been researching, If you really wanted, you could just switch your trunk lid and get these lights.. they said that you dont really need to change out the bumper cover.

they only 97-99 because of the new trunk design. the outers will match and fit, but the inners wont. if you do a rear 97-99 converions ten ur fine. liek me, i got the 97-99 CF trunk with 97-99 real red/clears on my 95 max.

Just a trunk conversion, that doesnt seem too bad at all, I think im gonna go to some caryards and price some trunks. Do you need to do any mods to the trunk or does it fit right on?

Yes I took the plastic apart. I used a heat gun but it was a pain in the butt. Just heat the oven to 200 degrees put them in there for 5-10 minutes and then pry them open evenly around the lens. I guess people have said that they can crack easily so just be careful and patient.

Another thing. If people hate altezzas painted or not why do you even click on threads that have anything to do with altezzas. He didn't ask for your opinions he just asked for people to post pics of painted altezzas, not to come in here and bash everyone about what they've done to their car. The conformity of this place is irritating.

I want gens 2's because of the pimp leds, and no im not doing custom leds for my red/clears.

I Really like how the CF ones look from far away, I know most people think they look rice, but you cant even tell that they are CF unless you are really close to them, the gunmetal ones look OK but they still look all shiny/reflective, and i think that looks more ricey then the CF ones. I may end up getting the CF gen2's and MAYBE i'll try taking them apart to paint them plain black.

AWESOME chino

Don't worry about your comment. It doesn't really bother me that you think my taillights are ugly. Everyone has their own opinion. It is just irritating that this guys thread turned in to a bash altezza thread when all he asked was for pictures.

Yeah, thanks for the pictures guys. I got it colored but didn't put it on my car yet. Will do soon but anyway for all of you immature altezza bashers. I don't understand....I asked not to post comments because I know some of you are like if he doesn't have what I have than it sucks and is g*y. Honestly grow up. Anyways I have a quick question... which light is the turn signal because what is the extral light on bigger piece on the outside which everyone colored over? Thanks.

Mike

The extra outside bulb is the sidemarker light. It's useless so people just paint over it.
