so i've been doin some thinking...

If the reason the cattman headers sound so good is because of the equal length collectors, couldn't we get budget or warpspeed or somebody to design an equal length collector y-pipe to work with stock "headers"? is there not enough room or something? Jus doin some thinking

They'd make bank off that idea I bet, if it's possible.

I think its possible too, the part that makes it near equal length (the mandrel bent curve), is below the 02 sensor, which is part of the ypipe. I think someone needs to find out who would be upto do trying it.

EDIT: Hell, I think this could be done custom quite easily, all you need is some mandrel bent tubing (same size as collector), a good welder, and good measurements. I think its damn near possible to get better results than the current ypipe design, not as good as the actual header setup, but it could be close. I'd be upto it, but im low on cash. Feel free to donate

Goto www.ceasarschariot.com

Theres a few in there. Im seriously going to look into custom fabricating this mandrel bend into the 2nd collector. I think its easily possible, its just a matter of figuring out what lengths of bends, and the diameter of the bend.

i might do some calling around and see if anyones up to it. **** i bet someone could used the stock y and some bending and could make it work. Just use the flex section and the 2 parts where it bolts onto the headers. i wouldn't care if i lost 1-2 horses if i could get it to sound good. if i didn't just buy my y-pipe i would cut it up and mess with it.
