UPDATED Hella bi-xenon HIDs *pics* 56k go away

After having my HIDs for over a month now, I FINALLY perfected them last night. I added Hella Black Bezels to give it a more OEM and finished look.

A couple things: passenger side needs to come up a little, and the drives needs a little more color to match the passenger, but they still RULE.

Looks good

You should "smoke" out the corner lights so they match better.

Probably around $600. However, I purchased some stuff that I thought I needed but really didn't.

I could do again for $400.

just out of curiosity, can u get these lights to shine purple or blue or something besides the standard 4300k color or whatever it is? I love the beam patterns, love the style but would like more color...

No. And why would you want them to shine purple or blue? You mine as well get those ricer bulbs if you want blue light.

Yea I've totally disconnected my corner lights. They're useless lights that I think just take away from the overall look of the car when the lights are on. I really should think about smoking them to match the blackness of the headlights.

$400 for the heads AND fogs??? Where did you do your shopping? I haven't really found anything under $400, and that's per pair (not all 4). HIDs are the definitive way to get rid of lightbulb problems and/or annoyances, but they're too rich for my blood ....

Anyone converted a 9004 HID kit from another production car into their Max? I keep thinking about going to a junkyard and yanking the bulbs and electronics out of a car with factory HID (even though I'd need to research what actually controlled the lights). An example of a problem would be - HID kits are sold with a little electronic box gizmo thing. What if manufacturers controlled the lights directly from the ECU? Then it would be impossible to convert. The car would require an HID kit that operates exactly as an aftermarket kit does. I'm rambling here, and I know virtually nothing about HIDs, so I guess I'll shut up and post this. Thoughts?

Fogs? The fogs I have in there are bone stock never been touched. $400 is the projectors, bulbs, ballasts, and wiring harness.

You CANNOT just yank bulbs and ballasts out of another car and put them in your maxima. You HAVE to get the glass projector lense that the bulb sits behind. The setup I have in my car is off of a Mercedes. Yes you do know nothing about HIDs haha I suggest going over to www.hidforum.com and doing research.

And corner lights are staying the way they are (might get blacked out) and the bumper lights are STAYING ORANGE.

Fogs look blinding .... guess you just got the optimal camera angle on them. So you actually did something similar to what I'm saying - retrofitted a Benz HID system into your Max? If this is a viable option, it would definitely be worth looking into. . . . unless it requires more work than, say, CE's $439 kit. Any fabrication needed on yours?

My honesty about a lack of HID knowledge has made me look like a fool! My ego has been ripped apart! Gotta shake it off

His fogs are not HIDs from what the pictures show. $400 sounds like a good price for the projectors / HIDs.

I don't know what or who CE is, so I cannot comment on the quality of their kits. If it does not have projectors than it's garbage. If that $439 is just for the bulb, ballasts, and ignitors, than it's a huge rip off.
