My Max just went from nice to rice!

Look at what I did

Yuck! Black 3rd gen GXE wheels.....what was I thinking? Well I'm goin to the track soon and for once, I'm racing out of street trim. These rims are 16 lbs....nothing to brag about, but lighter than the stockers. My wheel and tire combo is 33 lbs in the front and a bit more in the rear. Anywho I'm shooting for the 14's in the 1/4 mile. For added help I also did this:

Now my Eibachs look stock from all the weight reduction. Took the stock spoiler off too....that was a bloody mess. Nissan engineers were on meth when they thought of putting that thing on. Broke 3 of the 4 bolts and all the clips were broken already. Now I get more looks from other ricers... I mean drivers and well to be honest I hate it b/c my car looks like shizzo. Cant wait for the track tho!

wtf, the spoiler too?

The wheels might take off a 1/10 if you like more wheelspin.

Have fun putting it back together!

Any maxima without a stock spoiler looks pretty awful. Whenever I see one I get shooting pains inside my head.

c'mon, you luv my trunk lip, dont'cha?

Dont' know what the term "rice" has to do with what you've done to your car. I always thought "rice" was associated with mods that make the car look faster/better but were so obvious for the lack of taste/ignorance on the part of the car owner.

yeah i havent gotten that far yet Ceaser....its all comming out its just a matter of time. Just depends if I have to take a passenger to the track. Oh and that I have seat air bags!!! Wonder if ill get the light to come on?

I am no noob to interior swaps.....yea it sucks. I swapped over 2 3rd gens for a fellow orger and 1 week later he crashed the car. I have some plans for the interior. Black........dum dum duuumm.

Oh and for the spoiler I should have mentioned I have a new one. Its been in the garage for years, I need to use it sometime. The OEM ones have plastic clips for the outside supports, all mine were broken. No biggie. The new one has 8 bolts!

zack342 im most likely going down this friday 7/30. hope to see you there.

This weekend at the local car meet is going to be fun...all the kids there love rice.

Why are you trying to figure out how fast 1/2 of your car can go?

I couldn't agree more.
I race like I drive the car, everyday.
I got 15.1 on street tires with the spare in and everything.
I am shooting for the 14's the next run because I have great tires now, instead of that crap I had on there before.

And to how your car looks now..........."Noooooooooooooooooo!"
It is not that bad. I don't really like the black wheels with no machined lip because they look at a glance like you are riding on steelies(like the ricers do to make it look like black wheels). I do like gunmetal wheels, but not black. I think it would not be that bad if you had just left your spoiler on there. I know that you will get it back classy looking soon...I trust in that.

sawblades heh.....I got them too. I was going to put them on too. If I put on the sawblades, chrome grill and keep the spoiler off I'll have a GLE 5 speed!

:o)

Why is taking off a non-functioning spoiler and putting on lighter wheels RICE? In fact it is the exact opposite of rice. Why are you guys calling it rice????

Well since you decided to go with the stealth black look, you may as well AE the corner lamp's & headlights. Then all you have to do is pick up some JDM black chrome turn signal lenses from "Custom Enterprize.com". I can't tell from the picture but if you have the stock tail lights, now would be a good time to install some carbon fiber gen2 altezza's.

P.S.
I'm assuming since you removed the spoiler for your trip to the track, then you are trying to reduce wind drag. Why don't you remove the deflectors from the sunroof & the window's too to help achieve that goal. Otherwise, please put the spoiler back on. It will significantly increase the beauty of your vehicle.

I have DTM tails, thought about the AE stuff too but I did it b4 and i dont like it much. I aint keeping this stealth look for too long. I just put the ventshades back on so I'll keep them on. Tho with a wing, tint, and some other little tricks I could roll like this in the winter no problem. I do however kinda like this pic:
