I am looking to buy the factory remote for my 95 SE and I am just wondering how do i know which one will work? The ISC and FCC numbers are listed and my dealer wouldnt give me an answer on which ones work on the 95 they just wanted to sell me them for 130 bucks.....thanks for your time...

Hey, Yeah i bought a remote off of ebay for a my 95 SE too. I tried programming it myself but i couldnt get it. There's some trick to it. You have to insert the key in the ignition like...6 times in 10 seconds or so, I must be messing up. I went to the dealer, they said they'd program it for free. I forgot my remote so a test drove a 350Z instead...hehe.....so yeah, if it looks the same it'll work.

 

Thanks for the info im gonna give it a shot. Yeah My car i discovered has a factory alarm, and the guy i bought it from never gave me the remotes so i hope it all works

 

Another question....How do I know if i have that Automatic Window roll down fuction...and what exactly is that?

 

If you have the alrm you have the window roll down feature, hold unlock button. Not all the remotes will work, even if they look the same. If you get one from a candian maxima it won't work.

 

You know the Auto down feature on your driver side? I think mine is broken. I can roll my window down but i cant figure out how to use that feature...i think it did it once...whats the trick to this?

 

anyone know the exact directions of programming a key fob? just curious as to the process

Otherwise, I just bought a fob that looked the same off of ebay and said it was for the 95-99 max. They had other aftermarket fobs that claimed to work, but I didn't want to take a chance.

 

What he already said. Come one guys - read the entire thread - i.e. put in the effort to find the information. You can find exact programming instructions at the MAXFAQ website (search MAXFAQ on google). As DAVE Sz said, to put the windows down with the remote, just hold down the unlock button for a few seconds...
