i had the same thing happen to me starting 3 weeks ago but now its fixed !
problem : your brake pads are used. they are thinner and pistons r using more brake fluid to apply pressure on pads. therefore brake fluid is low and triggers BRAKE light.
SOLUTION: install new pads and top off the brake fluid. or simply top of the brake fluid but when u install new pads, the brake fluid is gonna pour out.
i installed new pads and topped it off. SIMPLE ! problem fixed !
you are going to see ur light go on and off occasionaly untill u fix the problem...

there you go then, you probably drained the fluid. go to ur local pepboys or autozone and buy the CORRECT brake fluid (ask them and they help you), then pour some in the white container closest to the steering wheel. its actually right infront of the steering wheel in engine bay !
