My horn isn't working....
Hi, I recently changed my dash from brown to black. Therefore, I took off my brown GXE steering wheel and replaced it with a black one, I had to remove the airbag to and painted it black. Now my horn is not working?? I checked all the fuses and they are fine. The clockspring wires are all connected except for the door chime connector (I think that's what it is). However, I didn't have the cruise control part plugged in and I'm in the process of locating it, does that have to be plugged in to for the horn to work? The wires that go to the horn also have a connector that plugs into the cruise control unit. Is that maybe the problem? Also, the airbag light is flashing when the car is turned over. How can I reset that so it doesn't work? I read somewhere that the dealer HAS to fix and repair the airbags for free. Any insight will do me good. Thanks all!

In mine its a green/white wire coming off the steering wheel that requires a 12v signal. You can test it if you have an aftermarket stereo and use the remote/power attena wire since it sends out low current. To my knowledge only a little bit of current is needed to run the horn.
As far as the airbag issue on I've never even laid hands on the wire since my installation manual for my alarm stated about 8 times in bold letters to not touch or use air bag wires /yellow wrapped wires . Somewhere in one of the sickies it talks about the air bag light. I think its in the faq. I swear I seen it in stickies about million times but of course ill never have an airbag problem until maxima.org goes down again.
