hey -i did this flip flop trunk mod months ago and in my opinion it really isnt worth it - since i put the new system in the trunk actually rattles with it-well actually the hinges and harware rattled a lil bit -it ****ed me off to no end and besides looking pretty nice it has no function so i took it off. So if you want to have it for show then yea but if u have a decent sized system dont do it -also the latch once it is flopped sits on ya glass a lil bit so u cant even turn ya system up which you are showing off because if it rattles at all it could do some damage -just my 2cents

Thanks for the info. I do not have a system in it yet, so I guess it would not matter right now, but was it easy to change back to stock??

Suggestion:

1) Get someone else to give you a hand...1 person can do it but more hands would help
2) To stop that rattling just keep your stock screws handy, I only flip my trunk @ meets or when hanging out, for daily I keep the stock screws in so it doesn't rattle
