Sticky Pedal - Acceleration

dont know whats causing it... but i cant start off slow when i accelerate. if i push the pedal down softly it is stiff and wont go down. so i basically have to press down real hard and "gun" it for a sec to even move. doesnt happen every single time but about 25% of the time. its real annoying....especially at drive-thrus lol. and more than b4 everyone wants to race.

I am guessing your throttle cable is caught on something or completely off. I know I have had it where the clamp for the intake interfered with the throttle body which cuased my car to be stuck at WOT (scary as hell with stick when you push in the clutch and it goes wot on you). I would check that first and try moving the throttle body by hand and see if it moves freely.

This is one time where cleaning the TB might help solve your problem! Be sure to use TB cleaner not carb cleaner. Its easy - and most likely will take care of the problem.

The TB has a special coating on it so if you use a carb cleaner, it'll remove/hurt/damage the TB coating. TB cleaner is designed to maintain the coating.
