Breaking in a new clutch

I just got a new clutch a couple weeks ago, and wasn't aware I needed to "break it in". I've been driving it hard every once in a while, crap. Especially since I got my ypipe done last week. Will my clutch just wear much sooner than it should since I didn't drive it soft for at least a few hundred miles?

Thanks,
Dan
