Need help with hOmeLink!!

I can't seem to get my mom's 97 Se to work with our garage door opener. I've followed the instructions that are found in the car's owners manual AND I even followed the instructions on the homlink site (Click Here for Homelink's Instructions )...thinking that I had to do the "rolling code" procedure. So, I still can't get it to work. Has anyone in here have/had the same problem? Does the factory installed homelink system in the 97 Maximas work with today's garage door openers? I have one of the new Craftman screw drives w/rolling code and it looks the same as the one shown in Homlink's website and has the same remote. Anyone with info?

No. Single code only.

So, if I have an opener with rolling code, my homelink will not work with it? Aren't all of the new openers rolling code anyway?

it WILL work with rolling codes. mine didn't work the first time i tried either. clear the buttons and try again with someone helping you, if you didn't the first time. make sure you follow the directions exactly and you should be able to do it in a couple more tries.

You don't use the remote when programming - you need to use the button that's actually up on the opener motor. You may know this, but the statement above sounds like you might be using the remote.
