When the belt starts to make that noise, it's about time to get it changed. Mines started doing it as well so I'm going to change it eitehr this weekend or early next week.
By the way, there is a Connecticut Meet on the Dec. 19th. We have a NY caravan of 20+ cars so far. Just want to send an invite if you would like to come. We will be caravaning from Douglaston. There should be about 65+ cars at this meet in CT. Either send a pm to me or check out the Connecticut Meet thread under upcoming events. Hope that you can make it.

OEM belt is $30/ nice mechanic!
If you do it yourself it might take 20 minutes
You dont have to take the wheel off or need a jack. Drive that thing up on some piece of wood or something if you do not have jack. Just take of the plastic cover on the inside of wheel (not the wheel well cover) behind strut. 10mm socket or a phillips screw driver. Then with a 14mm wrench loosen the tensioner pulley bolt, go up top and with 14mm socket turn that long bolt right there to the left. Pull of belt and put new one on! Tighten tensioner pulley some(finger tight) turn long bolt right there to the right until belt is tight. How tight? Tight but loose enough to turn center (between crank and compressor pulley) 90 degrees. Tighten tensioner pulley up good and tight. Don't you wish you coul get paid $95 for that.
