Hate: rattles.... don't have any!
Hate: Cup holders....... works perfect for my medium coffee
Hate: big gap.... dropped and gone
Hate: ......... nothing that's why I own a 9 year old car that rides better than most newer cars at double the price and just as reliable........ these are truely great cars, isn't that why we all own and mod them?

This is my biggest beef with the vehicle:

5th gear is WAY TOO SHORT. WHAT A USELESS GEAR. USELESS. My car spins 3100rpms in 5th just to stay with traffic on the highway. This is horrible. 4th and 5th are so close, they might as well not have had a 5th at all. I hate this, it makes me very angry. It is unfortunate that the 2k and 2k1 unit didn't have better ratios.

I don't like how loose the steering is AND the wheel itself is huge! All of this "hate" list has me nervous about taking a trip on Thursday. I haven't been on a road trip since I got the car but I don't want to take my Accord.

I hate the back windows not being able to roll all the way down, the rattles, the retractable antenna, stock taillights (should've came red/clear from factory), chrome door handles

Probably the only thing I dont really like thats stock (not the pains with mods) is FWD .. It kills me but oh well.. I have no raddles or anything right now so its ok hehe.. One thing is that I hate the noise mine makes with the AC going...

got another one

- No audio controls mounted on the steering wheel (should be at least std. on SE, again this is Nissan's flagship, you would expect something like that)

only rattle I have is in the driver's door.

Cause: Brother had it 5-6 yrs ago, Max was still fairly new at the time. Someone t-boned him and was a direct hit to his door. Lucky he wasn't seriously injured, but ever since, the door takes a bit more effort to shut.

Accident #2 w/ brother, again 5-6 yrs ago, frontal accident, nothing catastrophic, but pretty much needed a whole new front end (radiator, hood, bumper, lights, etc..) no rattles from that accident

perhaps the rattles you guys are talking about may have been caused from previous accidents. AFAIK once a car gets hit one way or another, its bound to shake something loose

Dislikes:
1) ticking noise from heat/AC blower (on the 2nd one now)
2) 99 coilpacks (all have been replaced)
3) misc rattles and squeaks
4) clock that dims with headlights, and no adjustment
5) engine is a biatch to work on
6) lack of telescoping steering wheel adjustment

All of these annoyances are far out-weighed by the overall positives of the car...

Things I love about the car and or remedied to love them

Love the SE Cloth, never too hold/cold, keeps me in place and damn soft
One of the best fuel efficient V6s
Lighter than avg V6s
Dim gauges - Upgraded
Dim/green interior - Upgraded
Dim headlights/fogs - Upgraded
Suspension/Wheel gap - Love it, I eat potholes and bumps for breakfast. What's the point of a lowered suspension if you can't even go anywhere or fast? I always see these modded lowriders on the HW going below speed limit. I feel sorry for these suckas when I pass them by.
ABS - Don't have it, don't care

Things I hate -

Flimsy cupholders
No cupholders in back
No Pockets in back.
Rear seats don't fold down, even my 94 camry's rear seats folded down
Crappy Nissan Paint
flimsy/sticky trunk lid
Seats are too big
um that's all I can think of

not quite hombre, its prevalent on my 4th gen, and on my freinds 5th gen, you can hear things creaking in the rear and in the dash. you get what you pay for, but i dont remember seeing rattles on the invoice.

i dont kno why some people here are saying that the vq30 is hard to work on. i think that it is one of the simple engines to work on and the vq30 dont usually have serious problems. i enjoy working on them
