can i put a laser in my muffler?

i have wanted to do this for a while but dont have any idea how to. ok, say i went out and got a laser pointer that runs off of batteries. Now is it possible i am pretty sure that it is, to hook it up to your car battery without destroying the laser. I think this would be cool as the laser would shine a beam through the exhaust of your car at night.

A very novel idea. Would probably be quite a bit of work though. That would be wicked to see a red beam going through your exhaust cloud at night. I too kapart a laser pointer and tried to run it off a 12v power supply at 2A in an attempt to make a super-laser, but it burnt out after, oh... maybe .25 of a second or so. So good luck.

LOLOLOL!
Seriously that sounds like a good idea, but only use it during shows and stuff. Not while actually driving, it could distract the driver behind you. And the cops will probably ticket you for it.
Still you could try it out by putting a laser in the exhuast for a few minutes and check it out.

ha ha this idea does get some respect
now i asked the guys at radio shack and they said that you could get a voltage distributor... not sure thats what i want though, seems to me like i could run a wire with resistors to get the desired watts from the battery. any other suggestions? oh yah, i did it and it looks pretty cool, another thing that id like to do is put them in the corner lamps, looks crazy there but i think i am over my head, any suggestions?

Sorry to bring this up, but this could be dangerous by risking blinding someone (especially if you use it while driving). I'd not want that on my conscience.
Then again, installing rear facing fogs (concealed of course) might be good in deterring tailgaters.
