Mitsubishi Coil packs discontinued?

I just got word that the mitsubishi coil packs or the (11 & 16) have been discontinued and that I can only buy the Hanshin (01 & 06). Is this true?

95-96 models use hanshin coils and those are the ones that never give trouble. 97+ Hanshins suck.

I just called up nissan via there website and it seems that the mitsubishi's are in deed being replaced by the Hanshin's. Nissan is no longer offering these to dealerships. So the only bet is to find a dealership that has them in stock because once they are gone we are stuck with the sh*t *ss Hanshin's. If anyone has doubts here is the nissan # 800-647-7261.

Like DaveSz said though...Hanshins that were made from 97-99s were crap.

Can anyone verify today's Hanshins are not crap?

So why are 99s more prone to have failing coils than 97s or 98s? Could a 97 Max have coils made in 96?

so the hanshins from the 95/96 are not interchangeable with the with the 98/99's? they have all the same part #'s...I would imagine the current hanshin's have been fixed so any you order now would have no problems in the future I would think...

Which brings up an interesting question...

Think that the 5th gen coils might work in a late 4th gen motor?

I setup a group deal with Jerry Rome Nissan for the Mitsubishi Coils.
20ppl $319.68 a set(6)
10ppl $347.37 a set(6)

I would post this in the group deal section but us commoner's don't have the ability.

Again showing what a moron you are. The 95-96 are just fine, ever heard of them failing? The 97-98 are different and I believe the 99 are even more different.
