Weird noise over bumps
Ok so a couple days ago my Max started to make squeaking/rubbing noises when I go over speed bumps at low speeds. I have no clue what it is but I also haven't been able to look since it has been like 15 degrees the past few days. But it is usually over large bumps or speed bumps and mostly when the wheels are straight. Anyone have an idea?

Your problem is the strut mounts are broken. I just put new ones on my max. I promis the noise will go away. The way you can tell is first the noise, second the strut s in the engine bay might not be centered. It took me 2 months to figure that problem out.

My 4th gen used to get squeaky whenever it was colder than about 40 degrees or warmer than about 70 on bumps, and eventually, whenever the nose of the car moved much at all. It never seemed to have an adverse affect on the operation of the suspension.
I can't remember what I did to narrow it down, but for some reason, I remember concluding that it wasn't the strut mounts on mine. I replaced the strut bearings when I replaced the struts, and that didn't help. I kind of figured it was a bushing since it was a rubbery squeak and so dependent on temperature, but I never got around to replacing bushings before I sold it.
