don't complain if you didn't do your hw before hand; and SE is better.

Yea, the reason I thought this was bad because I thought I was paying for a GLE, not an SE. I just felt ripped, my insurance says GLE, I just feel like I was played..

i just checked on KBB the difference between a se and gle with same mileage/features is 1250 kinda suprising im not sure how the translates into real world buying/selling but as far as equity concerns that would disturb me.

Wrong. Bose and sunroof were options on GXE's from 95-96 and even Automatic climate control became available in 97-99. The only thing they never came with is leather and perhaps the Cold Weather Package.

Oh yea fully loaded SE > *

Agreed...I've owned an SE (97-RIP) but now drive a GXE (95) which I have converted to cosmetically look like a 97 SE and I can tell you that I preferr the GXE. I sometimes miss my sunroof, but then again the car is lighter....GXE owns all.

BTW...I have every option that would come in a fully loaded SE minus the sunroof and the BLOSE system

GXE's with the C&C package didn't come with a limiter.

First, the OD button has nothing to do with the top speed limiter.

Second, 3rd gear redlines at 128mph.

Therefore, if you either a) have a speed limiter OR b) had OD off, there's no way you were going 134 mph.

are kidding me, having the od button on, once you hit 117 when ur flooring it it goes into 4th gear, but with it off it lets you go to 128 yes you were right there, then their is another gear, and it takes a while to go faster in it but with time and a straight open road you can hit 130 something.

That's true, but that's NOT the electronic speed limiter cutting in. That's just the car shifting too soon and running out of steam.

Do you know what OD is and how it works?

yes it basically lets it go into a higher gear whenever it thinks it should so to save gas , and sh!^ right? when its off it doesnt let the car shift into 4th but when ur drivin with it on and going like 60 it will go into 4th to save rpms, and gas
thats what it think but im not positive, not saying i know though

I doubted it beacuse you said your speed limiter went off with OD off and that you hit 134 in third gear.

That's the wierd thing, there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. That's why I put in the FAQ entry that the only way to know for sure is to go out and try it (with a professional driver on a closed course do not attempt).
