those who have replaced digital gauges, please help

i need to know how to get the mileage on the gauges to the mileage on my car. how do i do this???

If the new set has less miles then you can connect it to (i think) a wave generator. Its the same signal as the speed sensor and the miles rack up as if the car was topped out. Takes a while if you have many miles. Supposedly the dealer can do it too, probably for some rediculous price.

If you have some time for it to sit around, could you do that if the miles were higher than what's on your car? If you left the signal generator on for a while could you let it roll over one million miles? You can put on about 3,000 miles a day if you simulate 125mph.

not sure honestly, it may just go to 999,999 and stop.....kinda like what Y2K could have done.

now that would suck. You waited all that time for it to roll over and it gets stuck at 999,999 for the rest of the car's life. Then when you try to sell it, the buyer might be like wtF?
