I'm wondering what the proper tension/position the accelerator and cruise control cables should be? Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks.

 

yeah i wondered that too...i looked at mine when i cleand my TB and IACV and the cruise control had little slack while the throttle cable had alot, it was barely touching the half moon shaped thing...so i tightened it up and took the slack out. its great now it made a bit of a diffrence i think. but im still not sure what is the proper setting...mine fealt okay loose, it feels better tight though,.
try tightening it but not too much, with ur engine running adjust the 2 nuts so u can hear if youre raising your idle. im prety sure its the wrong way to adjust your idle so if it comes up a bit loosten the cable a bit i gues. but its up to you hjow you fix your idle i guess doing it that way would do the job fine but im not an expert. sry if ive got something wrong
