Squeak Squeak.. stfu!
Christ, my car is squeaking uncontrollably. It has been doing this ever since about 6 months or so ago. I thought it was the springs, or something to do with the suspension (still could be the case?), but I switched to s-tech's and the problem is still occuring. Most of the time I crank my stereo and let my rockfords negate the squealing, but I want to face up to the problem and fix this.
Let me describe the squeak. It's a very
noise; only happens at low speeds I Believe, and high pitched. Sounds kinda like a see-saw.. "eee arrr". The noise is embarrasing, and it's really starting to get to me.
I did a little research and saw that it may be coming from the brake system. If anyone has any info. which could be helpful to me please let me know.

Then it is your spring or the control arm bushing.
There is a write-up in the faq's for suspension noise.

But nobody else has had this same "eee arr" squeaking?

it could be your strut tower bushings
they sit at the top of your struts and mine just went out and had to change them out not too hard just drop the assembly and youre there all i have to say is hope that u have air tools

i have some kind of problem like this too...when im goin realy slow almost to a stop i get a loud drum sound like a moan, hollow and loud. i think something bent when i had the ebrake on and reversed like an idiot and rocked the car pretty good. could that bend stuff and cause this?
also i looked at the TSB's and found that it could be a bad brake cable?

If you think it's one of your brakes, jack up the car and spin the tire by hand, see if you can see anything rubbing. While you are there, inspect both brake pads on that wheel too.

Key areas to inspect all your mounts, bushings to include the trailing arm(rear only) it connects to the rear beam, and the axle/ wheel hub. And it wouldn't hurt to check if any of your struts are busted. Good Luck.

I thought a little.. could this noise possibly be the result of a missing gasket on the strut assembly? Anyone know if not having that red gasket thing (which I think goes towards the top of the assembly) could be causing this noise?
Thanks!
