Viper alarm, Proxy sensor with all the goodies and Pedal/clutch lock will keep you pretty much safe unless they decide to use a flat bed and roll your car on it then your fuked.

Glad to hear you can get just about all of the interior parts for a steal (no pun) that is good news to hear, please take some type of precaution to prevent this from happening again, or up your insurance so you can atleast be covered. good luck

Why are you trying to bring him back down? His car was stolen and he was very VERY lucky to actually find the car later, and now is blessed to be able to buy just about all of the interior parts that were stolen for an amazing price, I understand your painting the picture for him that they may come back if they see your car back and fixed but still sounds like your raining on his parade more than helping.
