Place Racing CAI Problems

Alright i have a 97 se with approx 54k miles, i recently installed a place racing CAI on my max. Working on other cars in the past makes me very cautious about hooking everything back up. I made a list with everything i disconected and when finishing up i checked off everything as i recconnected it...this is setting up the problem... therefore after i installed the cai i know there is nothing that hasnt been reattached. Now when i turn the car on the Check Engine Light comes on and stays on. I guess my question is, has anyone else experienced this problem with everything as it "should" be? What should i look for or do, do i have to take my car to the dealer for them to look up the code for the light? Also is everyone elses CAI as loud as this thing? Sounds like i got a v12 under the hood, also noticed a slight whistle when at a constant speed. Well thats enough problems for one day.
Thanks

the exact same thing happened to me. after the install, the check engine light came on. i forgot what code, it could have been the rear bank o2 sensor. well, i checked it and it was fine. a week later, the light came back on again. i checked it again using the voltmeter and it was perfectly fine. i went ahead and got it reset again. that was 4months ago. it hasnt came on since.
by the way, the whistling is normal. its kinda cool once you get used to it.

Re: Checked ECU
Make sure you pluged the MAF sensor in correctly .. and make sure that you tighted all parts of the CAI near the TB and the MAF..
then reset the light see if it comes back
then reset the light see if it comes back
