Battery, alternator, or starter?

I need some help. About 5 days ago my car has been hard to start. I think it may be my battery but I will tell the story to see what you think. When I go to start my car, it takes all the power of the battery like the battery is dead and my lights, etc dim and go out. But here is the strange thing. If I turn the car off and start it again, it will start without any problem. I am going to get the charging system tested on Saturday but I want to see if this has ever happened to anyone else.

A busted alternator usually (in the cases I've seen, anyway) triggers both the battery light and brake light on the dash. I'm not certain whether or not any other parts can keep the battery from charging, though....

I have an aftermarket radio and everything works correctly. A guy i work with suggested that I start my car, disconnect the negative terminal from battery and if my car continues to run then my alternator is working fine. I did that and my car kept running. I can get in my car and play the radio, ect. It is just when I start my car. I wonder if I have a short somewhere. I guess I will find out on Saturday.

I went to Wally World and they did a free system test. It was my battery. I had a bad cell in my battery and that is why it would not hold a charge. Whew I went out and purchased a new battery and the problem is solved.

Your problem could be from a bad starter motor or the battery or starter connections. My maximas battery and brake light have been on for a few weeks, the shop says I need a new battery ( it's only 2 years old). I check the volts and it good, but the alt is putting out 16 amps which I think is to much. They put this alt in 6 months ago and say it's not the problem.
I don't think they know what they are doing
good luck
