Help with cefiros
Got a set of Cefiro's on the way and I read around and saw everyone saying they need slight modification to fit in the 4th gen maximas, but nothing that actually stated what the modification was.
So, any help on what I'm gonna have to do to fit these bad boys in?

well you dont really need instructions, it's kind of how it looks. Take out the stock headlights, and then place the cefiro in the opening. Cut out anything that is preventing the cefiro lights from fitting. HOWEVER DO NOT CUT OUT TOO MUCH!!!!!!! or else you wont have any lights to put it. You need to cut out the support in the middle of the opening, and the ones attached to the fender. Most likely you'll have to drill new holes to bolt in the lights too. I dont have any pics to reference, but it's not that bad to do. Just take you're time so it looks good.

Here's an awesome writeup with pics! It looks sorta complicated to me but I'm not very mechanically inclined. I'll just bring it in to the shop when I buy mine.

I've installed these bad boys twice now, it's sort of an art at this point. The second install was with H4 shields and Phillips 85126 D2R bulbs and Denso Ballasts. And don't worry, that corner light is history.

i had fun cutting up my car. its mostly a cut and fit type thingy. have fun dremeling but dont cut your hand off.
you know about the slight fitment problem right? cuz dont be surprised if they dont fit 100%. none of these will fit exactly like stock except if you bondo the gap or something.

just follow the write up and youll be fine. i was skeptical at first but after doing 2 installs its a really simple install if you have a dremel.
the dremel is your best friend. its been mine ever since i got it. got a problem? cut it off.

I found that weatherstripping under the grill then 3m tape on top of that works the best, and allows the best fitment of the grill on the 97-99 bumpers. Don't forget the ziptie.

No sir i did not cut mine, i losed the top screw then to a flat head screw driver and pop the top (i did not have panel popers) and i bend it downards. So right now its resting nicely under the light.
I also took the liberty of attaching my grill to the lights and using zipties.
And i agree GOALIEKEG did an excellent job with the weather stripping. Thats why i did not put any on mine yet cause i want to do a neat job like that.

I've seen several pictures of cefiros in maximas and none of them look as clean as yours. Yours almost looks stock.

Time and patience. I line the entire headlight surrounding first with heavy weatherstripping, and then line the corner with about 3 layers so there's no gap. I eye it then cut it all to fit. If I don't like it, I redo it. I'm having problems right now with the current weatherstripping because my car was recently in an accident (fixed now), but the fender just isn't right. This is only happening on the passenger side.
