Bad luck :(
Bad luck :(
So I get up early today, all ready to install my tokico illuminas and vogtland springs when disaster hits. Somehow three lugs on my front driver's side wheel have became all binded or something and will not come off no matter what. Like they were over tightened and screwed up the threads. But they were all only hand tightened so I'm not too sure how this happened. Either way looks like I'm gonna have to get a new set and bust off the 3 bad ones. Always something...I wanted my drop today
Anyone have any idea what could have happened to the lugs to cause this?

Im going to go ahead and blame you, because if you were able to remove them last time, it means the last person who installed them again screwed them up, ie you.

Big mistake you took it to the dealer.
My 17" rims have this problem perpetually. I hand tighten them (not hard either) and they just plain lock in there.
MY SOLUTION: Buy a $2 tube of anti-seize. Next time you take your wheels off, put a pea-size glob of the anti-seize on each bolt. You don't need to be neat. Just make sure you get some across the length of the bolt on one side. When you thread the lugs back on it will get distributed evenly 360 degrees around.
It still takes some torque to get the lugs off, but they don't bind nearly as badly as before.
LAST THING: If you need extra torque to get the bolts off, just use a longer ratchet (if you have one) or add a 2 foot piece of pipe on the end of the ratchet. You'd be AMAZED at how much more torque you get!
DON'T DESTROY THE BOLT THOUGH!!!

Good advice. But also take the wheels off when you get home and put anti-sieze on the bolts right away...
when i stripped 3 of my front right wheel studs, purchased from Nissan for like $2.50 each and took it to my dads shop and get them installed....had to use air hammer to make sure the studs fully go in.
