EEK! Coolant leaking off of oil pan. Help
Ok there is nice sized puddle of obviously green coolant dripping off of my oil pan. Actually dripping inbetween the bracket that holds the AC/alt. and the oil pan. The drip is pretty steady when running, but stops after the engine is turned off. I am hoping that it is just a thermostat gasket, but... worst case it could be a leak in the upper oil pan gasket. I did redo that gasket when i put the engine in a year ago.
ANY suggestions?
thanks all.

You're probably correct or just a hose leak, start the motor and stick your head in there, nothing too much to worry about. At least it's not coolant mixed with oil ! (head gasket, but unheard of with a Maxima)

flash, if your not sure that is not a hose then id like to suggest the following procedure for detecting where the leek is coming from, a bad mechanic working on my grandmas car claimed he fixed a coolant leek and to account for the disappearance of it added in as much as possible. Luckily due to his idiocy the pressure of the coolant got high enough so that i could easily detect where it was coming from. So you can try filling the coolant over close or even a lil over the max and then itll be easy to see wtf is leaking, but of course you might make the leak worse
