Can someone help me out??
I recently installed my leather shifter boot the wrong way than the right way might i add. i just want to know what you orgers did to make the top of the leather boot stay up under the **** my boot just drops it looks stupid did you tie it up there or am i missing something cuz driving around with my polished shifter bar showing is not cool

didnt the stock shifter boot come with some kind of plastic thing that held it up flush with the **** cus if i use black ties it looks stupid all squeezed tight against skinny shifter pole... If there is a plastic piece it would be great for someone to tell me where i can get another

I'm sure if you think long and hard about it, you'll figure something out. It's not that hard..... You could roll the first part of the boot inside and use a rubber band or something elastic to hold it in place then mount it back over the shifter.

lol wow ... our cars do not have distributor caps chief
The howto book Hanes or Hayes..whatever it was that I bought showed the distributor cap...and a dummy like me thought that means it must have one...but I follow the wire all over up and down and cussing thinking I must be stupid or something!...I kept telling myself this book must wrong......what a waste of $15.....

In response to Sickblackmax, look at your old shift boot hardware, remove it, and put it in the new one you just installed. You'll probably have to remove it to do so though.
Coolbrew: The Haynes manual goes from 1993-2001, so by showing a distributor cap, they are referring to the 93-94 models. Read the captions to make sure they are describing the right year.
