aftermarket antenna fitment issues

So ordered this antenna from this guy off ebay, had good history, blah blah wahtever.
i'm just curious if anyone has bought and installed one of these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

i couldnt get the **** to fit. simple as that. **** wouldnt line up right with the hole coming from the car. I think they assume these things are going on semi flat surfaces. But the instructions sucked and i couldnt get it to work, simple as that.
so im just wondering if anyone has any experience with this item...thanks.

Can you maybe get some pics up? I would think with modification (which is what this seller advertises), that it should work.

Based on the auction it is advertised as a direct fit for nissans. If it doesn't fit, you're either installing it wrong or the seller misrepresented the product. He should provide whatever necessary to make it right.

Yes, it means original post. I know you are a newbie, but if you have your own question you should start your own thread. You'll need 15 posts to do so, so in the meantime look for threads about projects or mods that people have done and are looking for feedback. Also be sure to read the FAQs and stickies. You'll be flamed for sure if you ask a question that is already answered there. With all that in mind, welcome to the org.

I have had the best luck with aftermarket antennas when using the original OEM mounting hardware such as the antenna nut and the plasic/rubber grommet that sit directly on the car. Most of the Aftermarket antenna installation accessories are not very good.

taking a picture would be pretty hard but i could try.
i didnt really want anything that would be a hassle, i'll get my money back before i fight with this. i also didnt like the idea of having to drill new holes and all kinds of ****.
when i emailed the guy my issue he simply said return it. didnt wnat to help or anything. i gave him the part number and he confirmed that i had the right one.
ugh aftermarket **** sucks. i should just get something from the junk yard. too bad i dont even want an antenna anymore. I just dont want a hold on the back of my car. it'd be nice to have one of those small fin ones, or maybe one like beneath the surface of the car that works just as good.
tired of driving a damn walkie talkie

Return that POS one you got. And buy an antenna mast for $18.99 on eBay.

That's not an option for some people, as I can't get the antenna mast out of my motor assembly.

Why not? You will probably have to open the motor casing, then take the mast out...

Been there, tried that. I've taken it to professional stereo installers, and they couldn't even do it. The things just not budging. There is no cable when I open up the motor assembly. For some people, replacing the mast is not an option. The mast is most likely broken inside the shaft.
