I am getting sick of the rear emblems on my '99 Maxima and want to shave them. I know that the nissan emblem is held on with glue and if I remove it there will be 2 small holes in the trunk. What is the best way to fill up these holes? Has anyone had any regrets after doing this? Thanks a lot!

There will be no holes in the trunk. It's just double sided tape that's holding those things... use some dental floss, and then wax afterwards.

It's not that I don't believe you Shingle but I've heard from others who have shaved there nissan emblem that there are 2 holes in the trunk that have to be filled. Has anyone else shaved there trunk emblems that can help?

No holes in the trunk. Heat'em up with a hair dryer, peel'em off, and wax. Looks sweet.

Stealthy urban assault vehicle.

(What kind of car was that...?)

Why is it called "shaving" when it's just removing. That doesn't make sense.

Curious

So the whole thing is glue? The Maxima letters are also held by glue?

Shaving, slamming, fading, etc. It's just a "private lingo" used to talk about cars. To the newbies, the un-initiated, these words may not make sense. And that's precisely the idea... Hang in there.

I wouldn't consider myself a "newbie." To be honest, I think that referring to removing emblems as shaving is stupid.....but whatever
