Put my stock intake back on today (yes, another intake thread)...
PROS:
smoother, more linear acceleration
little bit more low end torque
SMOOTHER SHIFTING!? (I KNOW this is not the placebo effect because I hadn't even thought of this beforehand. Only realized it during the first drive afterwards.)
CONS:
Not as beefy sounding
Engine bay not as appealing aesthetically
Recommend everyone give it a shot. Doesn't take too long at all. What do you have to lose? If you no like, you no keep!
Now I'm debating whether to get an aftermarket panel filter or keep the regular "non-high flow" one I have in there now.

Is it that you don't wanna give the Nerdy Nissan Engineers a chance for a comeback?
Nah, I understand what you're saying. You need a reason to justify spending all that extra money for a CAI. I was the same way. Then I said, "ef it."

i'm going to switch back to stock after 2 yrs with the stillen. just gets too boggy in the heat for my taste, and the sound gets pretty annoying when i'm trying to accelerate quickly and people look at me like i'm trying to race them.

Did you have a CAI or a WAI? I had a WAI and swapped in my stock one and definitely noticed exactly what you said. I'm just curious of how much of a difference there is between stock, CAI, and WAI.

It's the autoscroll function. My hunch says you went past the end of the thread you originally intended and wound up in a thread that the software felt was similar. I hate this Autoscroll function myself.

I abhor it myself. It's only purpose was to make sites more mobile-friendly. I hated it when Amazon implemented it, then YouTube, then this site and that site and every other important site I frequent. Too hard for people to click the next page number I guess.
