How bad will alignment go...

How bad will alignment go...
Say, if you get an alignment...sure.
But then 1 week later you gotta drop your tranny. Taking the strut off the spindle, and taking the axles out. Does that effect it at all...?
Obvious reason of it going out of wack is potholes and crap.

yes it will, ironically i got my car aligned today after i took out my spindle, tie rods, control arm, tie rod ends, stabalizer links, and front right strut
all of these were replaced from my accident, and Bijan, let just say... my alignment was off 5DEGREES!!! steering wheel was like pointed right for me to drive straight.
well thats becasue i forgot to count the threads on the tie rod nut.
They guy told me when ever you lower your car you need a alignment, i would just do it now ge the 90day warranty thing and do it again for free, or you could wait and then get it done again

Camber is not adjustable on our cars.

Anytime you touch the suspension, you should get an alignment. The strut does effect it.

The only ways to adjust camber is by grinding bigger holes in one of the struts or pulling the car on a jig. Like in a body shop.
If the strut is not bent and there is nothing else bent on the front suspension, working on the struts will NOT cause a change in alignment.

What did they adjust when you lowered your car? Kevlo I think we had this debate before. It's come up a few times before.
I've lowered my car and checked the alignment before and after. After was a little more negative camber. Approximately .25-.5 degrees negative from stock.
This is good because it improves high speed cornering a little but contributes to more tire wear.

I dont remember, I threw away the alignment sheet a few years ago. I will try to find some recent alignment sheets and see what they are at.
