Some tell me the difference between knock sensor and coil packs..
the knock senor being bad and the coil packs being bad? I had a check engine light and the codes came up knock sensor and Ignition Signal Circuit
code. The car idled at 300 and the car spudders and hestates likes crazy. I put my foot on the gas and it doesn't move the car any faster.
I need to figure out what this could be?

Well that problem is your coil packs...Knock sensor just detects engine knocking....Your coil pack if not mistaken provides power to you spark plugs so they can spark...so if you have a busted coil pack then you will be misfiring, hence the really low idle and spuddering you are receiving.

if ur coil packs are not firing and it trips a code...it might trigger the KS code just because of the bad spark.....i would find which coil pack is not firing and have it replaced....check the stickys for the how-to

sounds like you have a bad coil Wayne. The KS is not going to make the car run crappy like that, it would just be a little down on power. Just borrow a coil from some one local and figure out which one it is. The KS code is probably just tripping because of how crappy the car is running.

When my MAF went the car ran like that. Idled at 250-300 and would shut off. It didnt like me I guess. Anyway, fixed that then the car ran fine. I soon after replace my knock sensor to for sh*ts and giggles, just because the code wouldnt go away and now im fine.

I suggest you double-check the plugs of leads for arcing (remove the plugs - it will leave a small black mark on the white ceramic), and test the ignition coils.

You have poor gas mileage, an indication something is wrong and a MAF sensor error code.
Geeeee I wonder what could be wrong with your car?

Hey wayne-
I would try to trade coil packs out with another orgy to test fire a different set of coil packs. you figure the ones on your car are like 8 or more years old. the wires may be chaffing or corroded. You can always do a visual inspection of the MAF. and using a ohmeter is a fine way to inspect your maf. since all it is heating element testing its resistance is fine. If your car still has problems I would start to look at compression and other things. Did this just suddenly happen or were you running the car hard.
