Please Help!!!! Car won't start!

My car didn't start today, I have a 1/2 tank of gas, I checked the fuses, and tried to jump start it 2 times. One time it started and died 5 seconds later, the rest of the time, the car just cranks, and when I let go of the key, it makes a buzzing noise around the throttle body. People tell me that it's not my battery. I got a full service tune-up about 5 months ago. Does anyone know what my problem is?

When you crank it what sound does it make? Just a turning over sound? CLicking?

Starter would be my first logical guess.

It's just the turnover sound, if i keep the key down, the car will just keep cranking.

I'm guessing your not a 5 speed?

if your battery is fine I would say its your starter, has starting taken a bit longer than normal lately or did this just kind of pop up out of no where?

cam sensor in on the timing chain cover.

crank reference position (REF) is under the pulleys.
Crank reference position (POS) is on the bell housing.

If you dont have a haynes I'll post the numbers you'll need later when I get home from work.

If the car is cranking, you need to check for 3 things, air, fuel and spark. Air is the least like to fail - so check the fuel supply first. Make sure the fuel pump fuse has not blown - its in the fuse box under the steering column. You can also check for fuel pressure if you are so inclined.

You then need to check for spark.

Is the CEL lit? If yes, pull the codes and get back to us.
